Many people are experiencing a huge challenge in their life styles: being indoors all the time because of a quarantine. Being apart from the people we interact with on a daily basis, stop going to the places our daily routine and duties take us to is just part of the emotional and physical change most of the people are going through at the moment.

Working from home has turned two or three times more time consuming. Interacting with others only through video chats has been the daily routine so far. The news show growing numbers, expectations for flat curves, and a few hints that there is a clear light at the end of the tunnel.

In the meantime, what are we doing to kill time? What if you give a try to enjoying a hobby that you have put off for a some time (or a long time)? Art has always been a refuge for those who wish to get away from routine, to feel lighter and relax, to clear out their minds and explore a different way to express emotions, dreams or just to release the tension of the day.

Here is my list of recommended top 5 things to do during a quarantine:

This will help you how you can build whatever DIY project you want, without spending days of months looking for a plan or spending a fortune hiring someone to do it for you. It might sound crazy, but you'll see by yourself how you can build anything out of wood easily without a large workshop or expensive tools. You can get access to the largest woodworking plans for every type of project imaginable!

This work easily represents the passers-by of a city, both those who go on foot, and those who are traveling through the corridors of a subway station or urban trains. It represents people who stop along the way to observe something in a showcase, those who wait with their hands in their pockets, men and women looking for something to happen, or simply wishing that time passes to arrive soon at their homes.

The weight of the color of the elements in the dominant central part of the composition combines with the orange-red tones that surround the entire work. Red represents tension and this is how the people in this scene feel. They want to live the moment or reach their destination promptly.

Observations: the image of this artwork was taken in 2014 and has a little shine towards the upper right side; the image has not been treated to remove it. The original artwork shows a darker red colour.

In this scene you can clearly see a cockfight. The site is full of spectators and gamblers. The owners of the animals take pride in the triumphs obtained at the end of the match. Animals are immediately hooked in a corner without limit. Each of them does not tolerate the presence of the other and lash out with all their might. People look and shout at the onslaught of each animal. In a few minutes you begin to see that one of the animals has decreased its strength and does not respond quickly to attacks. He is mortally wounded but does not stop trying to attack. His life is going away and people shout even louder to celebrate the success of their bets or to claim that they have been cheated as their rivals have apparently used sharp elements in the paws of the animals.

These shows of high levels of aggression and blood attract low human passions. The supposed tastes that produce delight are surrounded by betrayal of nature. Our duty as human animals is to protect this nature that has protected us and try to maintain its balance. No more cockfights, no dogs, no bullfights, no caged animals. Let's raise our thought energy. Let us recognize the beauty of our planet and respect nature.

The Amazon Collection is a series of small format mixed media paintings (19 cm x 5.5 cm) They were made on velobinder recycled covers, commonly used to protect documents. I found them once, when walking on the street. I respected the little irregular shape of each of them (which can be distinguished from passpartout measures)) and decided to paint animals from the Amazon, the irony of a subject whose characters are so fragile, represented on a material that hardly degrades.

This collection is a limited edition (150) of offset digital prints

  • Framed

Why Purchase Figurative Art?

Its main characteristic is that all the elements such as shapes, colors, volume and mass represent real objects than can be easily recognized by the viewer as it creates a strong and undeniable connection to the real world. In these collections you will find as many characters, stories, moods and emotions as you can imagine.
