Painting: Oil on Canvas.
This work shows a plain landscape. It is a sunset in a valley without prominent trees but with a lot of fodder and small bushes and flowers of various colours. The thin blue strip towards the inner part represents the water of a calm and crystalline river. It gives a touch of freshness that complements the warm temperature expressed by the yellow oranges of much of the plain and the distant horizon where the sunset has not yet completely fallen. This work tends to be more impressionistic.
This plain landscape as well as the seascape are made as diptychs, since this format breaks a bit with the paradigm of using a single canvas where the work cannot be fragmented. On the other hand, in this diptych, although each piece complements the other, they do not need to be together to be understood (one on the right and the other on the left). Even more, they can be placed one above the other.
